LSB#: 171108AL05 Make: Krieghoff Model: 32, Monte Carlo Grade Serial Number: 2727 Year of Manufacture: 1967 Gauge: 12 Gauge, 70mm (2 ¾”) Shells Action Type: Single Selective Release trigger. Markings: The receiver is finely engraved with gold inlay and border.
The underside of the receiver is marked “KRIEGHOFF / MODEL 32”. The forend hardware is marked “2727”.
The left side of the top barrel on the two barrel set is marked “H. KRIEGHOFF K.G.ULM GERMANY / MODEL 32 – 12 GA. / BOHLER – LAUFSTAHL”. The top barrel is marked “e04c 12/70”. The bottom barrel is marked “eU3c 12/70”.
The underside of the lug is marked “2727 test fire proof and date code 167 / KRIEGHOFF / ULM I”. The right side of the barrel is marked “MADE FOR EUROPA CORPORATION MIMI FLORIDA”. The left side of the top barrel is marked “F” near the chamber and the bottom barrel is marked “IM”. The trap barrel is marked “IMPORTED BY MELVIN J. HUNTING BELLE MEAD NEW JERSEY / BOHLER – LAUFSTAHL” and “u4 / 18.6MM 12/70” followed by “2 ¾”. The top plugged barrel is marked “12/70”. Barrel Length: 30” O/U barrel and 32” for the single trap barrel Choke: Improved Modified over Modified for the Over under barrel set.
There single trap barrel is cylinder Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a bead at the muzzle and a mid bead on the over under barrel set. There single trap also has a bead at the muzzle and a mid bead. The rib is adjustable with a dial at the muzzle. Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are High grade wood, beautifully polished and finished. There are a few light scratches and marks, nothing really stands out.
The checkering at the wrist, upper tang, and lower tang is lacking in the quality expected from the level of engraving and wood. The job was done by hand, there are just too many minor imperfections to be from the factory in our opinion.
Most average shooters will never notice. There are no visible chips or cracks and the fit to the metal is acceptable throughout. The stock was fit to the previous owner with a Drop at comb 1 5/16” and a drop at heel (measured to the rear most part of the cheek rest) 1 3/16”.
The butt is canted with the toe away from a right handed shooter, please see our pictures for a better understanding. There is a right hand palm swell as well at the wrist. The LOP measures 13.5” from the front of the trigger to the back of the Pachmayer rubber recoil pad. The stocks rate in about Fine - Excellent overall condition. Type of Finish: Blue with gold Sculpted Inlays Finish Originality: Original Bore Condition: The bore is bright on all barrels. There is no erosion.
Both barrels have porting. Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling marks from previous use. Most of the wear is a result of assembly and disassembly, hidden by the forend when assembled. There is some tape residue on the bottom of the barrels, we were able to remove most of it, the remainder is just a little stubborn.
When assembled the gun looks great and any marks are discovered under close examination with the gun inches from your face. The engraving is beautiful, we highly recommend spending some tiume with the pictures. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Fine - Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The shotgun is equipped with a release trigger, if you are not familiar with this please read up on it and make sure you understand how it works. This can become a safety concern in the field. We also noticed that the tang safety is frozen / not functioning properly.
We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards. Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The shotgun is in a Browning branded two barrel Naugahyde case. The gun fits the case well and holds the barrels in place firmly. If the Browning logo was not on the outside corner no one would be the wiser because of how well the shotgun sits in the case. Our Assessment: This shotgun is truly beautiful and was a pleasure to handle and assess. The deep relief engraving and gold inlays are tastefully beautiful with no noticeable flaws.
The wood grain and figuring matches in quality. We wish the checkering was a little more detailed, but honesty, with the gun shouldered no one would notice. I am what I consider a normal size right handed shooter and I was able to mount the gun well with little adjustment. There is an extreme cant in the toe away, which when bring the gun up to mount I noticed stopped me from bringing the gun too high on the shoulder. What we found interesting is the single selective trigger with a release.
In our opinion not the best for field hunting, but if you were participating in a Pigeon shoot, or any clay shooting sport you have that slight advantage in getting a faster follow-up shot. The Browning case doesn’t bother us, it holds the gun well and great addition until something better can be found. Metal Refinishing Re-blueing is desirable when your receiver or barrel show the signs of wear. Any rust or pitting should be taken care of before it takes its toll on the function or value of your gun.
We offer complete restoration of K-80 and K-32 blueing from just the top latch or trigger guard to a complete 4-barrel set. All metal refinishing requires complete disassembly. We inspect, clean and lubricate all parts when the gun is re-assembled. Minor repairs or replacements are included in the base price. If your receiver has a nickel finish, it can also be put back to new condition. This requires sending the action to the Krieghoff factory in Ulm, Germany, and will usually take around four months for the complete job. Trigger Services We can adjust the weight of pull, pre-travel or creep, engagement, safety and selecting on your trigger.
Factory specified trigger pull weight is 3 3/4 to 4.0 lbs. We will adjust your triggers as close to your specifications as possible, while maintaining operational safety of the gun. Should you decide that you need a “release” type trigger in your gun, only the Krieghoff service department should install it. Single release triggers are available in models KS-5, KX-5, the K-32 and the K-80 and double release triggers are available in the K-80 and K-32. We can also restore your gun to a pull-style trigger after a release trigger has been installed. Please note that a factory release is not available for the model K-80 RT. The sear springs can be updated in older serial number K-32 and K-80 guns.
This is the conversion from wire springs to coil springs for better reliability and trigger pull weight consistency. K-80 guns made since the year 1990 will already have the coil-style sear springs.

The following information is from Gibson page 56 and 180. If I read it correctly. Please correct me if I am wrong. The 1942 dated Krieghoff has the following magazine types: Magazine: blued extruded Haenel 122 code or fxo code.
The lugers full serial number is located across the middle of the base. The blued extruded 122 code magazine has the parts die stamped right side up above the number. The blued extruded fxo code magazine has the parts die stamped upside down above the number. The 122 code is the most common and the fxo code is the least common. Simpsons 1942 dated Krieghoff has matched 122 code magazines that have the parts stamp upside down which according to the information in Gibson is not correct. My dad brought back a Luger, SN 7521, from Germany after the war. He sold it back in the 1950's but did not sell the capture paper.
I would like to see the pistol and papers back together again but I have been unsuccessful in contacting Jan Still, who according to the SN list may own the Luger. I understand that they may not necessarily be a match but it doesn't hurt to ask. The capture paper is in very good shape and I have framed it. I cannot afford to buy the Luger even if it was for sale but I would at least like a picture of it to frame beside the capture paper.
I would also like to let the owner have a copy of the paper and let him know where and how my dad obtained the pistol. I left my first post back in Febrary and someone advised that I send Mr. Still a private message but I have not been able to successfully send it. I would appreciate help.

A friend hooked me up with a Krieghoff K-32 about a week before Xmas! I hadn't owned one of these since about 93 or 94!!!! This one was made in February of 1962 so I think it's more then likely got the left over Remington 32 parts inside not that that's a big deal to me. The gun is stocked like a trap gun and the barrels are 30' M&F. Also the LOP at the moment is about 13 1/2'.
It should get a nice new KickEez sometime this week. It might be sent out for Briley screw ins and later to Kolar for a set of AAA tubes! Then I'll be back like I was 25 years ago, the one gun for Skeet, Trap and Sporting Clays As far as O/U's go it's a slight understatement to say I like the Krieghoff K-32/80, the Remington 32 and the Browning Superposed. Is your new K-32 case colored on the receiver? Linda and I both shoot Model 32s.

Hers is a Briley tubed gun and mine is Kolar. Mine has shot in competition for 47 years now. No that isn't CC that's my thumb smudge When I started the skeet/trap disorder back about 81 or so I started with a new Browning Citori 4 barrel set and a used Franchi 2003 Combo set.
Think I used that Browning about 18 months and traded it for a Remington 3200 with Purbaigh tubes, the 3200 had belonged to Don Karges or so I was told and he had shot the fire out of it before I ever got it. Scores progressed a bit with the 3200 then I decided to go up a notch and debated Perazzi vs Krieghoff. Spaghetti versus Sauer Kraut! Eventually I decided to go the Krieghoff way and got a then new K-32 from Allem with Kolar AAA's in an Americase with a bit higher graded wood. Later I changed to an adjustable comb stock and added a couple used K-80 trap barrels.
About a year after that I got a very nice used medium monte carlo Bavarian grade K-80 stock from Creekwood in Texas. After a couple months with that stock on the gun my skeet averages went from high B low A to AA/AAA across the board. My trap scores also shot up.
I doubt seriousely if I have that ability or dedication left in me any longer but it will be nice to have what I consider a normal trap/skeet/sporting setup. It may be of interest to those here that the Remington 32/K-80 was originally an English design. This excerpt from one of my upcoming books: 'Churchill, delivered his first XXV “Premiere” over/under gun to American client, Philip Miller. This Churchill gun was a cross breed of sorts, borrowing elements from both the Boss and Woodward over/unders. A British writer/inventor named Arnold Chevallier worked with Churchill on the design. They later submitted a different version of their concept to Remington Arms in the USA – who eventually used it as the basis for Remington’s Model 32/3200.
After WWII, Krieghoff modified this design a bit more and brought it out as their K-80.'
